PL is typically set as the "Tone" (CTCSS). Some radios show this as a "T". This is needed for FM on non-Yaesu rigs.

DG-ID code has been reset to the default of TX00/RX00 based on recommendations from other local repeater operators.

- refers to the negative offset frequency. It is 600KHz below 145.170 or 144.570 MHz.

Setting a negative offset will set your rig to transmit at 144.570 MHz.

These settings are necessary in order for your transmission to be heard by repeater users.
